While groceries is a need, I have passed groceries that we're packed - no social distancing and no masks etc. So while you can't compare the 2 in terms of essential vs non essential, You also can't compare being among many, unprotected to being among 1 if you're both properly protected.
In any case, it's irrelevant. My point was just to stop pushing all the blame on Rabbis. I believe they have a life too (although I may be wrong). Please use common sense and avoid unnecessary contact. That's all.
