Passport applications and Passport Renewal

I submitted my passport for renewal end of January or early Feb for renewal, before this pandemic hit us.
Is it safe to say I wing get my new passport until this pandemic is over?

My passport is already expired I don't want to give it in for renewal if it takes 3 months this way I at least have an expired passport to travel to Canada.

Similar question. Would like to travel internationally as soon as allowed. I just realized my passport expired February. Does it make sense to try to renew now or just wait until they resume normal operations?

Depends in the season in the winter you can get it as fast as 4 weeks in the summer more like 6-8 weeks YMMV

We also received this message for my husband's passport, which has been in process since early March. We're presuming that he won't get it for another 6-8 weeks.

So, our [minor] daughter's passport is due to expire Dec 30 2020, which pushes the 6-month passport validity rule, if we are somehow able to travel to Israel this summer. Customs & Borders says that expedite services are suspended. I've read that the 6-month requirement has some room for exception, both on the US and Israel ends. Does anyone have any advice on whether we should risk it and send her passport out for the renewal? Or should we risk a possible trip plan (should the Israel border open up to non-citizens) by not renewing now?

I'm still waiting for passport submitted in early March. The centers are closed and I haven't a clue when it may come. I don't recommend submitting now, rather contact misrad hapnim before and get a letter from them...
