Hi,
Never put your your email online n a searchable site, even not when putting the @ between ( ) or [ ].
Spammers have programs that harvest them...

I've heard that www.carhire3000.com is cheap, but never tested them myself.

If any good please update us.

Well as you didn't reply (some people just like asking, but don't contribute), and I need to rent a car for 1-2 days in Israel, I checked it out, but it seems like they have bad prices...

Anyone that has a good place (in TLV airport) to rent?

I need it for begin next week.

If not so cheap, at least let it be a good car (shift is okay)

Your post was first at 2:17 am and then at 5:44. when exactly were u expecting me to see your post?? in any case i dont have any more info. I meanwhile reserved a car thru "baruch freiman" So far thats the cheapest and I have used him a number of times . I am paying 325 (maybe a few dollars more or less i dont remember exactly but its 320 something) its for getz (small car automatic) and it a 12 day rental. for shabbos its only 13 dollars for the ins. thats also including the 27.00 airport charge. If you dont need to pick up and/or return atthe airport then you can save the 27

People if you are gonna ask for others to help you, you Need to help them

In this case ygift was nice enough to have included the Dates they needed the car an dthe car type in this case an ecomony Automatic

what was left out and Definitely has a bearing on the Rate is 1- are You 25 or older (under 25 in is costs more, 2- do you have a world MC or Biz MC that will cover the CDW in Is otherwise again the Rate will be more

for Is what a person needs to let everyone know is:1-Dates of rental

2- type of car and manual or automatic

3- over 25 or not

4- do you have a World Mc or Biz MC that will cover the CDW

5- where do you want to pick-up and where to drop off the car

all 5 of these are needed in order to get a proper Rate Quote as each 1 can add to the cost of the Rental

Not all will apply to a rental any where else but if you want someone to Help you , You 1st need to help them

Im posting this here not for ygift but so hopefully anyone else in the furure will supply the necessary info from get go

Arriving iy"h on a flight from IST to land in TLV airport at 6:30pm on 22nd December.

That is where I would like to rent a car.

I need it for 1 or 2 days (don't have a return ticket yet)

I'm over 25

I shall return it to the same place.

Shift is no prob.

I have an amex plat which includes an insurance, but the sabras don't accept it, yes, I need an insurance.

for 1 or 2 days thats a problem as theres no room to play with, Id say try online as most deals require a 3 day min but the better ones are with a 7 day min rental

try carrentals.com. I have found that the price they quote for Sixt includes insurance charges (unlike some of the other prices quoted) and is a good price too.

thanks a lot, its not wow, but not too bad, this "tax included" is a good thing, I guess there will still be a airport tax on top of it.

I used to pay at the same location (budget) $7/day less, and get a free 4x upgrade....

it works out for the smallest car all in $37.5/day. Anyone has a better deal.

are you sure it includes 3rd Party Liability??? Im not since they are trying to get you to purchase the CDW at least when I clicked on the Budget choice

Im convinced once over there they will hit you for the LDW .

BTW click onto "Total Price" in Blue below your quote and it states "... This price does not include services such as insurance waviers etc .... and the LDW is exactly that. You wont win any Dispute with that * on their website, so carrentals will probably be the most expensive way to Rent in the end

If I remember correctly Dan rented via Budget and in the end got hit with the LDW charge once over there. I dont believe he ever reported back what became of his Dispute of the charge, nor do I know if he used carrentals.com, hopefully he will read this and post an answer so others can be fully informed

I ended up renting at www.yerent.com for $45/day incl everything besides the airport fee.

Its a mazda 3 type of car (I think 3 levels from the bottom)

Now I still dont have a place to stay in Jerusalem, for 2 nights starting tomorrow (!)

check in 22 and check out 24

I have found the following link to give me very good rates which at times was less then the Offical rate from the Hotel itself, dont know if they can do it on such notice as they usually get back to you the next day; http://www.israelhotels.org/hotels_all.cfm?LevelID=31

I used them for the Thurs before Succos and for 1 night only and they were $40 less then the Hotels rate. Park Hotel. It aint the Citadel but bkfst was OK and fot 1 or 2 nights it was just what I needed. Its the Hotel 2 up from the Ramada near the Entrance to the City. Maybe a 2 1/2 * but it was clean just not fancy sort of like a Motel6

ok- im looking for a 10 day rental picking up April 8th at Ben Gurion and dropping off April 18th.
I am over 25, and would take a manual or automatic. Any ideas where to go? Do corporate accounts work in Israel?

It seems that if i have a world MasterCard or a business MC, i can avoid paying the CDW...Is that any world mastercard? Can anyone recommend which one to sign up for? It cant be a chase as i already have 2 chase cards approved in the last 6 months...
I was thinking of getting the Ameriprise world MasterCard (no annual fee) just to avoid paying the CDW. Is there a different card i should get that would offer me some nice perks while im at it?
