Look at China abstaining from the recent vote that Russia killed. They are with Russia and against the US but wanted to give the optics of being neutral.
-1 even Ukraine understands it and Zelensky still recently asked Israel to mediate. Israel is not a world power who’s condemning or actions will make a difference and they don’t have the liberty to do that with Russia on its borders, EU and US are what matters here and the optics aren’t harsh as I see it.

Anyone have a contact that has experience running a refuge intake?

@Suave is setting one up now for Jews feeling into Moldova.

Need to figure out how to triage and prioritize refugees. Which tools and apps to set up for the dispatchers. How to allocate resources responsibly. Coordinate with NGO's for food, shelter, equipment etc.

I can't personally help here, but from my understanding Romania is taking in all refugees. Chabad of Bucharest has more resources and is safer than Moldova. If they can move on to Romania they stand better.

You can never please everyone. Biden is going to use SWIFT. Critics just move on to something else, like energy. Then when gas goes through the roof, they will harp on that.

I'm sure you can call a number of Jewish organizations here in America who would be happy to find the professionals.

Perhaps call Moshe Margareten (of Tzedek), who helped get refugees out of Afghanistan?

I am happy with the action being shown now by EU and the US this is real sanctions, of course energy would be stronger. If that doesn’t change things we might need to ratchet up a bit
