As they get in to more and more densly built up areas it takes more time to make sure you're clearing up behind you so you dont get ambushed

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying progress isn't being made. I was watching a live feeds earlier and it looks like there are some very heavy battles going on, along with a ton of shelling. It just looks like progress is very slow. We're a month into this war, and we're just circling the edges of Gaza City against an enemy which prefers death over surrender. Seems to my uneducated mind that we're going to be at this for a very long time, unfortunately. I hope I'm very wrong.
