ifixit toolkit sale

Have no idea if this price is out of the ordinary. Free shipping to IL with $49 in spending.
I own the cheaper one and it changed my life. The difference between this toolkit and the various ones I tried before are night and day.

$60 instead of $75:
iFixit Pro Tech Toolkit - Electronics, Smartphone, Computer & Tablet Repair Kit ($74.95 )

$23 instead of $30 (what I paid):
iFixit Essential Electronics Toolkit - PC, Laptop, Phone Repair Kit ($29.95 )

While I don't own this set, I do own a great set that was about $20. I don't believe most people need to spend that much although I'm not most people..so perhaps I should ;)

Most people have to spend $20 10 times before finding a $20 great set that lasts them a long time.

False. I've had this for 3 years and fixed a few hundred phones. From iPhone to basic phones and it has yet to fail on me. Accept for the bits I used as a Crowbar and destroyed.
So far hasn't let me down, and I wouldn't pay no $60 for some brand name with a few tools/bits, when I can spend $25 on a solid set with good quality bits and a whole boat load of bits with every possible tool.

I can vouch for this set. Owned it for 3+ years. And it's still in awesome shape after heavy good use.

That set has 7k purchases in the last month. While that kit from ddms has about 2k past month.  The proof is in the putting.

Tounge back in emoji..
Point being that it's a great set to own. No need for a brand name logo on your tool set with very minimal amount of bits.

This, basically.
I only got the cheaper set, not the better one. And I'd used three or four cheaper sets and been happy with only one of them (which someone borrowed and never returned - I now lend only of the cheaper ones out). This set is easier to use even than the one I was happy with previously. I'm not saying better/cheaper doesn't exist, I'm saying that I found this one to be worth the money for me. (I'm constantly in and out of computers, though it was nice to have once when I needed to get a micro-SD card out of a phone.)
That being said - @myi That set you posted looks very nice. If something happens to my set, I would try it.
