that's what I always thought, but on right hand side of quick pay screen there is option that says: "add external CC"

ur right , u can add a external credit card

what would it be used for?

how does chase make money on it -FEE?

If i use my chase QP account to transfer thousands of dollars every month, meaning $10k+ going in and out about the same maybe a drop less or more,
can that raise any flags?

The only risk is if they issue a 1099-k like amazon payments if you do over 200 transactions or 20k in a year. I have the same dilemma as I have large amounts of money transferred to me via QP. I tried searching for this but did not find anything..

I wonder what the pattern to this is. Sometimes quickpay payments appear instantly in the account, sometimes in can take a week +.

It depends if a non-Chase account is involved, either the sending or the receiving.

Weird question, but it seems like Chase changed my default account from my personal checkings to my Chase account. How can I switch it back? When I go the 'change default account', it doesn't give me the change option?
In the past, I've received money with my personal account.

How come sometimes a payment received will take a day or two to post in my account and sometimes it goes automatically? The smaller amounts always go in right away.

Because there is a limit how much you can receive a day.

Quote
The following are your transfer limits:

You may make transfers from External Accounts or consumer Chase checking accounts in amounts of up to $2,000 per transaction with a maximum of $2,000 per day, $8,000 in any seven (7) day period, and $16,000 in any thirty (30) day period, from all your combined accounts registered with Chase QuickPay.
You may make transfers from business Chase checking accounts in amounts of up to $5,000 per transaction with a maximum of $5,000 per day, $20,000 in any seven (7) day period, and $40,000 in any thirty (30) day period, from all your combined accounts registered with Chase QuickPay.
You may make Chase Online invoice payments in amounts of up to $10,000 per transaction with a maximum of $10,000 per day, $20,000 in any seven (7) day period, and $40,000 in any thirty (30) day period, from all your combined accounts registered with Chase QuickPay.
For transfers from Card accounts, the minimum or maximum you will be able to send via Chase QuickPay is also subject to the terms of the existing credit agreement.
If you are a Private Banking client, transfers may be made in amounts of up to $5,000 per transaction with a maximum of $5,000 per day, $8,000 in any seven (7) day period, and $16,000 in any thirty (30) day period, in the aggregate from all your combined accounts registered with J.P. Morgan QuickPay.
