I know that army krav maga does not qualify anyone to be an instructor, but for beginner's purposes he might be able to provide introductory instruction.
I would def understand if people would not feel comfortable with that...Good luck!
Many of my friends went to the IDF, several to very good units. Only the ones who went to top units (Duv Duvan for instance) had advance training in KM. Most learn only the most basic defense, usually utilizing their rifle/carbine in most of their defense moves. Being that in the civilian world you normally aren't carrying one, it makes alot of the training useless. Its a good start for them, but in the same Dojo the Roy (the video above) teaches at, there are several former IDF guys (Golani, etc) who told me the training they received from Roy is light years ahead of their army training. Just bc someone was in the IDF doesn't make him a qualified teacher.
