Has anyone flow on "Empire Airlines dba Ohana by Hawaiian," which uses the ATR 42/72 (prop plane).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATR_42

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATR_72

I'm a bit hesitant to book on this but its the only non stop interisland flight from OGG to KOA/ITO that has a convenient time for the date I'm looking at.  The other option would be to book with a stopover in HNL to avoid flying on the ATR.

TIA

Looking to book Shabbos at the Ala Moana Hotel (DW insists on staying there to be close to Chabad).  Are there any tricks to getting a cheap rate?

TIA.

I will be in Oahu for a couple days in early December to start off my week long trip in Hawaii. This will be my 2nd time there but the first time I only spent a few hours there on a long layover.
Any suggestions on special things to do there that are accessible by car given I will be traveling with a prego, 1 year old and in-laws. Pear Harbor is a given but beyond that I don't recall anything jumping out at me to do there. My prego suggest we get pineapple ice cream at the Dole plantation but I am pretty sure that's her "condition" speaking...

I'm going to LIH in a few weeks. Flying EWR-HNL on sunday. Right now the plan is to fly LIH-LAX thursday and LAX-EWR saturday night. I'm thinking to maximize our time there by flying lih-hnl on friday and hnl-ewr saturday night. this raises a few questions.

1) does this make sense?
2) which hotel to stay at? i need very late checkout on saturday (8pm) or will they all make me book another night? (I'm SPG Gold, Hyatt Diamond, and Hilton Diamond)
3) what must we see on Friday?
TIA

From my understanding R' Belsky holds it's not an issue. I will confirm before I change my itinerary.

Can you say who your Rav is? Sounded above like you were saying that it is R' Belsky?
And to clarify - Said Rav holds there is no dateline issue and just to keep 1 day shabbos?

It is r belsky. Obvious if it relevant to you, you should find out yourself instead of relying on a random guy on DDF  :P
He holds that shabbos is Saturday for Hawaii. Not sure about other destinations
