Another question if I just buy a ticket straight from an airline would ritz Carlton card  reimburse It or only specialize purchases such as Wi-Fi in flight meals etc..

The benefits say you can get an upgrade and receive a $100 credit towards dining etc.. for paid stays, does chase portal count for that, or does it have to be paid through Marriott?

I've had the boundless less than a year now.
The 35K FNC award posts 1-2 months after anniversary, right (month 13/14)?
If I upgrade to Ritz on day 366, do I miss out on both 35K and 85K FNC?
Any past data points on this, please?

There are dps upthread. The 35k fnc should post right away. It should stay even when you upgrade. You wont get the 85k fnc till next year.

Thanks for the confirmation. Almost all the reddit and blog posts said 35k fnc posts 1-2 months after anniversary.
Reports here say it shows up in Marriott account as soon as annual fee posts.

One question though:
I signed up on 10/1/23, first statement closed 10/22/23, and first annual fee was charged 11/1/23 (second statement).
I assume second annual fee will get charged 11/1/24. What happens to FNC if I upgrade on 10/1/24 (day 366, account age more than 1 year), before the second annual fee posts?

In my case the $95 af was refunded instantly and the ritz af hit ~6 months later. Had zero correlation to when the free night came in. (I am still gettting my 85k night in June and af in Dec  ::) )

fnc posts the same date as annual fee, i get that.
but i believe "anniversary date" and annual fee date are about 1 month apart.
what happens to the fnc if someone upgrades within that gap, after their first anniversary but before annual fee posts?

I messaged chase for $300 travel credit, and got message they have applied $300 to my upgrade ticket and it would take a couple of billing cycle for this credit to show up in my account. Do I need to wait a couple of billing cycle to cancel the ticket?
