Information regarding award pricing error
Hi Everyone, over the weekend, we discovered a united.com programming error that allowed customers to obtain Mileage Plus travel awards to and from Hong Kong for as little as four miles roundtrip per person, substantially below published levels, which we disclose to customers. We have since corrected the error and will be in contact with customers who have tickets issued at the incorrect award amounts. Customers will be given the choice to redeem at the correct mileage amount or re-deposit their award with all fees waived. We regret any inconvenience this has caused you, and appreciate your understanding.

The big corporation can do whatever they want to the little guy because lawyers wrote the T&C. If you right your own T&C and fax it to them to sign- that would be optimal.

If the DoT does fine UA, it's $10,000 per incident.

They completely blocked off HKG from the award booking system, which makes me wonder if things like SIN & SGN will still work...

yah but thats what they charge us not what it costs them

Many if these tickets may be worth more than 10K to them
Also for such a big thing they would probably fight the fine and pay a flat rate fine IMO don't really know much about this though (if they get fined )
