The YouTube clip posted is from a BBC programme about him from a few years ago. The national geographic link looks like something based on his story, portrayed by an actor. If you watch the YouTube clip, you could see the full segment in 6 parts, including a demonstration of how he used to swallow condoms filled with drugs to smuggle through border control.

I remember when he came back from Brazil, after spending a couple of years in prison there, he looked like a ghost, and had most of his teeth knocked out...

But the truly funny part was Tefillat Ha'Derech on his way from prison back to London -- he added "V'Tachzireinu L'Shalom" -- as in, his intention to return the same day

Unless of course it's a different nusach....

There are some that hold that even if you're not returning, you should say "V'Tachzireinu L'Shalom", because they hold that it's part of the nusach hatefilah, and it never was meant to be an circumstantial part.

Was interesting, but there were quite a few clashes with chasidish culture,dress & actions which didn't seem too favorable. He said that he runs a program for kids involved with drugs etc. in London.

True, but that wasn't it. The way he spoke about the whole thing (I'm assuming it was recently, but definitely after his release) didn't seem so appropriate for a frum yid (which he is as of now...). The way he depicted things etc.

Just watched it from my DVR (aired today at 6pm). Was actually really interesting and they say that he now works in London helping people get clean.
