Is there any sort of contract when going on a podcast? Can names and images be used at their discretion, or are there mutual approval clauses?

Do the advertisers even come up with these ads themselves? I always assumed it was JCN coming up with (what they hope would be) the catchiest clickbait themselves.

JCN comes up with them, but there has to be some veto power from the client.

I’m not sure they bother informing, let alone asking the client. And in this case where it’s LL’s guests we’re discussing, I’m sure it doesn’t get to them, whether there’s a contract or not.

That's where my question becomes relevant. If I go on a podcast and allow the host to use my appearance in ads, I'd probably ask for something in writing giving me some control over how my name/brand is used.
