I really like to read the comments on the site. First of all, there are a lot of guys asking, or saying the they will skip the FCO-MAD-FCO segments..... and this lady in post #297 http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/24792?wpmp_switcher=desktop#comment-164269 called the airline (thanks for killing the deal...) that she wanted to go for Pesach, Well Madam, did you see that the deal doesn't cover Pesach? (Deal is till the second day Yom Tov)

BTW their office in FCO is run like the BMG coffee room, i was once calling for a Refund and the agent told me that shes gonna put the printout on the back office desk and it should be taken care of within a week.

There are people on FT saying they are getting phone calls from AZ http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/19535472-post423.html that is only for flight originating in Japan. They will most prop start canceling all flights (maybe noe the one from USA) but all who have booked NYC-FCO-MAD and a separate MAD-FCO-TLV will stay stuck in MAD....

U guys should go to https://mm.alitalia.com/ru_en/BOOKING/Apvsearch.aspx and put your reference number to chek the status. For all of the flights I booked, it tells me: " Status:the ticket has not been issued , the reservation expires on 21/10/2012 alle 00:45" and that the bottom it shows me the correct ticket price that I still have to pay...
I m pretty sure they switched all of those "confirmed bookings" to "on hold" tickets... Even if in each of my email confirmations I received, there was a ticket number, when writing it into that website, it does not recognize it...

If it's for flights to/from the USA, time to file a DOT complaint.

Hard to see them getting away with it.
