Nothing in there conflicts with what I said. AFAIK, you cannot have an open jaw en route to a destination, but I've been wrong before
Also, as bp said, this would seem to be a clear case of backtracking (something I thought I mentioned, but apparently didn't, and could be the reason why I thought the routing looked illegal).
