Topic Wiki

Since Vanilla Reloads are no longer able to be purchased with a CC at CVS or any other location, this thread is for historical purposes only.

If I would write where VR is available, by tomorrow it will never be available again. So instead, we will nominate this thread as the place where everyone can complain that there's no VR, and everyone will be happy.

And it was good.

Regarding OneVanilla (OV) and other Vanilla branded GCs:

1. These are not Vanilla Reloads. You are in the wrong thread to learn about them.

2. As long as you are here, they no longer work at WM to load to BB at the cashier or ATM, nor will they work there for MOs. Your best bets are to use Evolve (there is a thread for that), Amazon Payments (there is a thread for that, too), or use them for regular spending in stores or online. At some grocery stores customer service desks, you can use OV to buy a MO.

That's for loading from a CC or debit online. For loading from VRs, it has the same limits as BB.

then whats the advantage? u still need VR if you want to load 5k worth...

I think 7k: 5k VR, 1k CC, 1k debit. But debit doesn't help unless you have SunTrust or something like that, because doing from GC is likely to get you shut down just like BB.

You don't need vr
The monthly limits are:
Online 1K cc &1k debit (200 /day)
"Cash" (7-11 CVS* vr and greendot)
5k  /month 1/k day 500/ at a time

*CVS let's you use credit and debit cards

Serve sees a cash load at CVS and your credit card sees a purchase at CVS

can I buy 5k vr, and then buy one at a time since they don't scan my I.D. for $500?
You can buy 5k vr and then buy two at a time since they don't scan your I.D. for $999.99. (You do lose a penny in ms though)

Just to get clarity here if I walk into a CVs with a serve card what is the daily/monthly limit I can add via credit card that will register as a purchase? 1/k a day?

why dont you just try?  that's how most people do it, it's not that hard to figure out.  worst the CSRs can tell you is "Sorry, no, we don't do that".

Is that even the SKU for what we buy? It says "swipe reload able cards (currently in the customers possession)"
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

C'mon guys.  You knew it was coming sooner or later.  Why the surprise and/or disappointment?

Even with the inevitable, it is still a big hit. Changes everything in a big way.

When a door closes a window opens.  Get over it and move onto the next thing.   ;D
