I tried IMG yesterday, but it only let me put in a start date of the following day. It's fine if the coverage starts then, but I don't want it to be invalidated if the trip started already.

That's universal. Insurance can only start the day after purchase.

As long as it's medical only, they allow it. GeoBlue don't allow it after trip started. MondialCare allows it even though it's a trip coverage.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

The same way you would do it otherwise. Assuming you are purchasing travel medical - just put the presumed end date. If needed you can usually extend before it expires. If purchasing trip protection, you would need to put the return date, an extension might be possible but isn't as straightforward.

Have a Israel trip booked for the summer, but with everything going on I want a good Travel insurance that would cover if anything escalates, or if we need to evacuate and everyone cancels flights like after sukkos.
Which insurance worked the best after sukkos?

As far as I know, No company would cover you for anything that happens due to the war.

That was for policies that were bought before the war started.

If you booked a tour (hotels/airfare) through a TA will Amex BP cover that do to and injury (fractured foot)?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Yes. IMG does.
