The same thing the Rangers said last year and you know how that ended up.

Don't bring that has been of a team into the conversation. The only thing they had going for them was their goalie.

This series has been such a see saw battle.
And home court advantage hasn't meant much at all.

You would have to give Pitt the advantage at home, even though it hasn't meant much all series.

I look at the Pens as underachievers and TB as overachievers. Still pulling for my Blues.  :)

Pens were definitely underachievers most of the regular season.
But at the tail end of the season, they put it all together, and have been a very good hockey team in the playoffs.
(How could you not be, with all that offense????)

Will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

Good luck with your Blues! ;)

Not my Blues but I would like to see them win it.  :)

Pens have had the fire power for the last few years but that fire always went out when the playoffs came around.  :)
Either way I hope it is just some good hard nose hockey.

They need to get rid of instant replay for off sides. It is ruining the game!  >:(

tail end of the season? They were the best team in hockey in the 2nd half.  it wasnt just a late surge.  They did start off slow but they were not underachievers for most of the season.

Last season the Rangers were the best team in the NHL all year long, and were not a one-trick pony at all.
They had unfortunate injuries, playing with 4 injured dmen vs Tampa- Mcdonagh, Staal, Girardi, and Klein, with Zucc injured too.

This year they pretty much were just relying on their goalie, which is why no one expected much from them.

Pittsburgh is going to win in 7. On a side not Thorton has an amazing beard. He should go out and do mivtzaim.

hope so. There are S'fira beards everywhere. The playoff-specific beards will show after tomorrow, post-Lag B'Omer, when we'll see who still has them on for hockey playoff season.

I love your confidence, but game to game there has been 0 momentum in this series, which is very similar to last year as JTZ has pointed out.

Boo-hoo. Cry me a river.
Without Lundqvist, even last year, this team is just a mediocre team.

The only thing worse than an idiot, is an obnoxious idiot.

Ever hear of Cam Talbot?
Also, how many goals did Lundqvist score to help the Rangers score the 3rd most goals in the league?

Ranger fans have to stop overrating their defensemen. The amount of times that I've heard people say that the Rangers have one of or the best defensive groups in the NHL is absurd. Girardi and Klein were injured? Big whoop. You guys even overrate Stall.

The defense really regressed this year. Last year it was considered good, though not the best.
Playing with 4 injured dmen is bad any way you slice it, whether each player is good, great, or average. But even if they were healthy and they lost in game 7 of the conference finals they're still considered a great team last season.

You're living in the past if you think Rangers fans think their D is still good.

Then maybe you're one of the few realistic ones because I still had people telling me that this season. To quote, "Chicago's D is only marginally better."

I follow a few forums and Rangers blogs and I don't think I've seen anyone of the thousands of commenters say the Rangers had good D this year.

Happens to be that Chicago D also regressed this season,  and their bottom dmen aren't good, but theyre still better than the Rangers.
