Lets see they beat a Hawks team that decided to take the playoffs off and at best an average Blues team. A Ducks team that can never could seal the deal but did have an amateur goalie for the last game. Now contrast that with the Pens who destroyed Columbus and sent the best team in hockey home.
ETA: While we can go back and forth on this all day long the ones that make their living off this will speak shortly. Smart money says Pens will be favorite.
Eh, Pens are a slight favorite.
Funny how you like to sing a different tune about all the Preds opponents after the series is over.
The Blackhawks were gonna win their 4th Stanley cup in recent years, the Blues were better and gonna embarrass the Preds, and so would the Ducks, one of the best teams over the past 10 years (don't forget they're only 1/6 teams to win a cup in past decade), and usually have the honor to lose to the eventual cup winner. If the Preds win game 1 and vegas changes the odds in their favor, we'll find out how little vegas odds means to you. And on and on.
I would agree that the Pens that entered the postseason would be downright favorites, but midway through the Caps series when they suffered injuries everything changed. They were up 3-1 but needed a game 7. Then they put up a much weaker performance vs a much weaker team. Again they need 7 games. This ain't the same team that entered the playoffs and wiped the floor with the blue jackets.
