Can't wait a day?

Only takes a day for the referral credit?

If you are waiting for the referral credit, why are you trying to cash out with a MO now?

Once you are waiting, AP is a good option.

I was in a CVS in NJ today and the manager has a printout from corporate that you may substitute the My Vanilla Debit or Netspend and they will manually issue two $25 Extra Bucks.

However if you got a new Extra Bucks account recently by getting a card in the store, it's most probably not activated (yet) and they will not be able to manually issue you the Extra Bucks. (I tried in two stores with managers)

You can check if your card is activated by scanning it a the coupon center and seeing if it recognises the card.
You can also call 800-SHOP-CVS to activate it by giving your info. (I'd imagine that it can be done online, but I haven't tried).

The original deal with the PayPal cards works even on un-activated Extra Bucks accounts but the limit is now 1, and yes redeeming also works even if the card isn't activated.

Even if you reached your limit of 2 from the PayPal cards you can still do the MVD because it's manual.

This is all my experience YMMV

I don't want PayPal to send me a permanent card. Won't they send you a permanent card for each card you activate.

It's a matter of opening account, taking out money, and closing. 1,2,3 if possible.:)

Already just tried with a VR. No coupon printed,  both the assistant manager and shift supervisor (manager away today) were unaware of the promo. I told them corporate sent out an email today but they checked and said they don't see anything. They said if i come back later and they did receive something from corporate they would take care of it.
Am going to call 1-800-SHOP CVS now and see what they say.

I went to 4 different cvs in nj none had. I asked for a raincheck and they said not available. So I called 1-800-SHOP CVS and after getting transferred around was able to get them to send me 1. Very nice and apologetic. They said offer was only for one and could not send 2.
BTW in the past these stores did not have VR I even asked and they send do not carry. But in 2 stores they had plenty on GC rack

She had an email printed out from corporate that says that since there are no pp debit the offer will be honored with my vanilla. There was a code in the email that she put in and it printed out the extra bucks

This is actually better than the original deal because these are much easier to cash out and you don't need to worry about getting hit with another $5 fee

Being that its a manually done, how many times can you rinse and repeat? Once per account, or once per cashier/store?

Good question. She scanned my card to add the ecb so I don't know if that code she put in will prevent it from giving 50 more. I'm going to try another cvs with my card later.

At my 3rd cvs by me.  No cards at all. But the clerk is being helpful by calling other ones.
She told me that there is an error that if you wait a few minutes after u buy the first pp card it will let u buy a second

Thanks, keep us posted.
Also, not sure how far a cashier will let you go, but all you need is the phone number on the account, so you can do all your family members who have cards.

the system won't limit the manual extra bucks even though they put in a code.
One caveat, if you previously got a PayPal card then on the bottom of the receipt it will always say PayPal offer limit reached. If the cashier doesn't realize, it won't affect a manual rewards printout.

I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
