Was there ever a conclusion with the December/January airline credit? Can you still apply and get credits for 2015 and 2016?

Consensus is to think of it as before/after your December statement date, as opposed to before/after 12/31 like Amex. Yes it is still possible to get credits in back to back statements.

I have the prestige card, and opened a citi gold account after I was charged the $450 AF which posted on my statement.
Now I see it was fully refunded.
Is that the way they discount the $100, by refunding the original fee, and charging only $350 afterwards ?

Yes.

I got the $250 on my wife's card with purchase of Air Tahiti tickets via Orbitz. I now need to book flights on Vueling with my card and am planning to book via a OTA again. Do Orbitz and Expedia and the like always code as airlines?

Hi all,

I am sitting on lots of TY points with a prestige card.. Any way of 'cashing out' and getting 1.6 worth without flying AA?
(All good recent deals are through Pricleline etc)

Kinda like Booking and canceling a ticket for the Arrival Plus card..  :P

Found this online:
"A $250 annual airline credit (with your first year’s annual fee you actually get two of those — that’s $500 of airline credits with your first year’s $450 annual fee)"

Can anyone explain what it means?

You get a $250 credit every calendar year. So if for example, you apply now, you'll get one credit for your Nov. bill, and you can get another one next year.

Do thankyou.com purchases count, is it billed by the airline?
What about paying part with points and leaving $250 to be charged would I get the credit?

Does United Gift Registry count for the $250 credit?

Is it too late to apply and get 250 twice?

Ye, but make sure your first statement prints in 2015, iirc they only reimburse after the statement cycles.
