Lol :)

Yes from experience.
So if my statement closes on Jan 4th and I do the purchase now I will get the 2015 credit on the jan 4th statement ?
Also do I have to wait to cancel my flight until the credit actually posts or no need ?

You can PGGM it - cancel it seconds later. No need for refundable.

Just had CWT book my 4 nights in a riad in Marrakech for March. When Citi sent me the proposal, it showed the name of the property, the type of room I want and the price. But the booking confirmation email I received just shows the property and price, but not the room type. Should I call back to add that on?

They told me they can't change it before the first statement, she put a request and it worked, about 2 weeks later.

Just received card and activated, and first statement closes Jan 4, 2016. Is there a way for me to still get a 2015 and 2016 $250 credit? A little new to how this will work.

Yes, it doesn't go by statement close.

You would need to find a Rep/supervisor who can change the 1st statement date a few days earlier.
IDK if such a thing exists though, IIRC Citi is tough on changing 1st statement dates.

iirc the only way that they will change the statement is by extending your statement to a period of more than 30 days not by closing it earlier. Although a citi rep (dropr) told me that this is because they can't bill you more than one in a thirty day period. Based on this(very possibly false) logic they may be able to change your first statement to close earlier than expected.

Citi won't make a statement close earlier, and even if you try, it will just prolong the statement.

Doing an apporama tomorrow, Prestige included, there's a 50% chance for a 12/15 - 12/31 closing date. #stress

I applied in bank on Friday. Was not approved right away but I called in to push it through. Received card on Tuesday with Dec. 20 closing. Did PGGM right away. Here's hoping it works for you. (and me!)
