Hi everyone. I am new to all of this credit card benefit stuff. I have the Citi Prestige, one in my name and one in my husband's name. I did not buy any tickets this year. I was wondering if it was too late to take advantage of this benefit? Can I just buy airline gift cards? If so, which airline makes the most sense to buy?

I tried reading the post but I had trouble following.

You're probably out of luck (unless your December closing is tomorrow or Thursday)

Does Citi clawback the airfare credit if the original airfare charge ends up being refunded? I know Amex Platinum doesn't. Is it the same for Citi Prestige?

Thank you. So it's good option for someone that just wants to reimburse themselves the annual fee (and won't be spending money on airfare anyway).

They can give you a manual 'goodwill credit'. I wouldn't settle for less than $100, but try for the full $250.

New year, new $250 airline credit. Last year, I had a legit airline purchase. This year, I want to do PGGM (or a variant of it). I remember reading that book-cancel will work, but can someone confirm that the cancellation has to be AFTER the credit posts at statement close? That basically rules out Delta non-refundable PGGM. Will booking any refundable flight and then cancelling it work?

If the charge posts you'll get the credit. Even if it's refunded before the statement close date.

You can book a southwest refundable & cancel later. (Same method that was used for the Barclay's arrival cashout)
