It doesn't seem great to regular spend unless you plan on staying at Wyndham hotels. It gets 2points per dollar and transfers to airlines (AA was nice to see on the list) at 2.5/1 so you end up getting 0.8 airline miles per dollar. The 45k bonus gets you 18k airlines miles which isn't impressive either. Though, if you're looking for a card without an annual fee that your need for AA miles (freedom should fill the other big airlines) then this could be viable but you'd only be making 0.8 miles per dollar

Can someone else comment on Wyndham hotels and using points for those?

The latest offer is for 30k points after first purchase. There is a $69 AF but you get 5,500 bonus points each anniversary. It seems like it's good for 3-5 nights depending on the category of the hotel.

FYI, they devalued the airline transfer option.

Data point: You can get both the AF version and the free version at the same time and on the same day.

My sister has to stay at a Days Inn soon and wanted to not pay cash. Needed both cards to get enough points for the stay. Didn't do a classic 2BM, but applied for 1, got instantly approved, and then applied for the other (in a different browser). The site said she has an app in the system right now (so we're not sure whether it even went through) but she called up, they said we have to pull your credit because it didn't pull before (which implies to me that the app didn't go through) and then she got approved after recon! Hopefully both cards will result in only 1 pull on her CR as they took place within a few minutes of each other, but as people have been reporting in the Chase thread, it might be 2 pulls these days.

It takes 2-7 business days from statement closing date. Mine took 3 days after statement date to post.

FYI Just got this card and am now finding out many of the higher end properties (such as all-inclusives) are apparently not bookable with points.  I called in and the rep confirmed not all properties participate in award nights.  The only award properties I am finding online are Ramada Inns, Super 8, Days Inn etc. Disappointing, but $69 for 3 nights isnt bad if you are traveling on the cheap.

Darn it! Not bookable at the Wyndham Kauai?

ETA: I just checked, and the Wyndham Koloa Landing at Poipu Beach Wyndham Grand Resort looks like is available to book with points. I checked 07/20-07/21 and it says there's a room available with points, and the cash price is $370 a night. Looks like you can get a grand value out of that credit card sign up bonus :)

I read an article somewhere that this property is either soon not going to be accepting points or is leaving Wyndham. Something like that. So book soon IMO.

The Koloa property is supposed to be leaving the Wyndham program by the end of the year.

How many points a night ?

All reward nights are 15000 points a night, but not all properties are participating in reward nights anymore.  All rooms are 15000 a night, so for example the ramada inn has basic rooms and 2-3 bedroom suites and either choice is 15000 points.

From what I understand, until recently all properties were participating in reward nights.  Its as of recently they stopped allowing rewards for top properties.  I was looking at the Viva Azteca, apparently they are no longer participating.

Just spent 5 minutes looking. Can't find it. It was from one of the bloggers.

The Koloa property is supposed to be leaving the Wyndham program by the end of the year.

FYI, it looks like they opened up 2016 15,000 point nights, so for anyone interested, I'd book now, as they confirmed a couple times that it would not be a Wyndham in 2016.
