Since October 12, 2015, the prepaid REDcard (Redbird) can only be loaded at Target with cash. It can still be loaded online with a bank-issued debit card, up to $200/day and $1K/month.

Therefore, for MS (manufactured spending) Redbird is now considered dead. RIP!

So should I just add a family members name to my checking account?
That may be a better solution.

Probably requires going into a branch to do, which is a pain. Why don't you have the second RC account transfer money to a family member's bank account and have them Chase QuickPay you or something similar to that?

Not a bad idea, but that would require me annoying them since they are not computer-literate.

Why not transfer the money from one RC to the other and then you can withdraw them all at ones

Limit to how much you can send a month. Even with ATM and that, still can't get it all out.

Rumor has it that doing that can also raise flags if you're doing it every month. Just repeating what I've heard.

You afraid they're going to change their policy between 12:01 and opening time to stop cc loads?
