I have a standard low end oven/stovetop.
When turning in the gas the igniter sparker goes on. - is there a way to disable this so that I can turn on a new flame on yt with a candle?

Test this before yomtov, but most ovens you can turn the knob fast enough you will get past "light" without turning on the igniter. I've done this successfully many a time.

It probably sends a current through though no?

Anyway I tried it.. very hit or miss ime.
