Hmm. My word is not preloaded with Black Chancery. Am I a racist?
Hmm.. neither is mine at work. I remember using it a long time ago and liking it, though.

Does ChexSystems combine pulls?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

How much does a average Jewish family say 4 kids in midwood flatbush NYC area have to make to live comfortably, say yeshiva/beis yaakov for 4, mortgage on (average 1m) house, property tax, insurance, average car, kosher food, and lets not forget pesach, etc?

Feel free to pm me if dont want to answer in public

80 - 100k but it is only a guess based on a non-Jewish family being 60 - 80k.

Are you counting in 4 kids in private school (some scholarship usually available if you cant afford it fully though)? Plus food is more expensive and you can be looking at spending minimum 2-3k extra for food on the holidays.
And then the jewish paraphernalia you need to buy...
I'm not who you think I am.

I am basing it on a non-Jewish family with 4 kids. Have no idea on much more for a Jewish family and that is why I said it was a guess.

An extra 2-3k on a holiday? I am not going to use the word rip-off but ...

You can just about make it on 80-100 for 4 kids paying Lakewood tuition and 1,400 rent.

With a 500k mortgage you need 125+

For a 1m mortgage and brklyn tuition I would say Min 180k

$140k.  Not from experience . But from talking with freinds in the general NY jewish neighborhoods . & that number is basically making it with not much thrills. If you wanna talk comfortable which means your not throwing nasty lines at your wife for her pomegranate supermarket bill, 2 nice cars , 2 vacations a year , making your own Yomim tovim etc... breakdown would prob be something like :
60k annual mortgage +
48k tuition
20k vacations (two)
25k groceries
20k in cars and insurance
And the list goes on to health insurance, miscellaneous expenses like clothing, Shaitel etc....

Comfy $250k.  By comfy I mean no stress in living comfy
80 - 100k but it is only a guess based on a non-Jewish family being 60 - 80k.
Non jewish is not comparable at all

I would say 140k would get you by on half that mortgage - approx 36k a year.
Back of napkin math - after tax your at (approx) 110. Take off 48 for tution your = 62k. Thats approx 5k a month a 500k mortgage with property tax and home insurance would be approx 3,000. Leaves you with about 2k a month for food, car, insurance and misc. Not much room for comfort...

500k mortgage means you put down alot. 2k a month for food, car, and the rest is impossible to keep to.
Napkin math: 4 kids means a minivan, so if lucky car and insurance is 400 a mo. (Slightly less if you buy an old one), insurance for the family (deff takes off a chunk). at least $500 (almost forsure more) a mo. in food, way more on sukkos and pesach.
