Keep in mind that these savings accounts can change at any time. If you are happy with 4-5%, I"m wondering why you wouldn't look into a 1-2+ year treasury or cd (or that 11 month cd from Capital One above)- this way you lock in the rate you are happy with and not risk having the bank lower their rate
The rate can go up which has been the trend so far.

I have numerous banks and CU's. I move funds around all the time. Is there a need to call customer service?
I agree with you.
I currently have money @ UFB also horrendous overseas customer service reps...but how often do you need them...

Over the past year I yet to call any rep for service at these CU's. I have had to DM or chat to get the form/instructions to close the account.

Any specific reason?
Last t-bill was 4.8 so the slight increase is not worth it.
If I was looking for another place to park funds I would have no issue going with them.

Bought more 26/wk t-bills today. Rate was 4.94%
Looks like that is it for now and will just let them rollover.

I looked a bit over here, but don't see anything super helpful .
Is there anywhere you guys would advise starting with to learn about investing etc.
(Or if someone can help me start)
I'm currently just playing around with banks , keeping up with the high interest banks. However I feel like I should be learning or doing more with the money I have. However since I have no experience or have never been introduced to it, I'm very unaware and clueless of what I'm doing.
Any and all help would be helpful.
I'm not against giving to someone else, if anyone has a good advisor they would suggest.
I have an advisor that's given to us at work, but can't figure out if he has my best interests in mind or not.
He told me to put in money where there is a charge for initial deposit or something?

As expected in came in slightly higher at 4.865%
The secondary market is great indicator of the price you will receive.
Best place to watch the secondary market price?

Details?
Had a 26-week T-bill mature that I just set to automatically rollover. Monday's auction was 5.03% for the 26-week T-bill.

I use Fidelity. U.S. Treasury are the bill/bond rates. The actual price I have been receiving at action has been slightly higher than these prices (.05-.10).

Not sure if you want to celebrate. This means that we still have high inflation. Still over 6%. So in essence we are still losing money even with these rates.

Details?

These treasury rates are available through your brokerage. I use Charles Schwab, I find it very easy to navigate and has superb customer service. You don’t have to buy necessarily 3months+, I just bought a treasury that is maturing in 8 days. Rate was 4.54.

It does not matter if inflation is 1% or 50%. The issue is getting a return on your money that you are comfortable with and not the .01% the banks are giving you in savings accounts.

Also, it depends on your situation if you are losing money or not. For a retired person with proper liquid assets high interest rates is a plus for them and a money maker.

I feel like there should be some helpful posts around here somewhere.
What are you looking for?
Recommendations on where to put your money? we'd need a bit more detail - how long you're putting it away for/risk appetite/etc.
General financial-investing education? How do you learn best? There are books/websites you can read, forums more focused on finance, youtube channels, podcasts, etc. (here's one intro from Investopedia.com - but don't rely or get stuck on one place, keep reading and learning)

He told me to put in money where there is a charge for initial deposit or something?
Do you have the name of the fund he recommended? Sometimes they may recommend a fund with an up front fee instead of an annual fee, as if you'll be leaving it there for more than X years it'll come out cheaper than the same fund with an annual fee.

It does matter if inflation is 1% or 50%. It's called real return vs. nominal return.
