Well Geode has no merchant fees as the card you are swiping is your actual card. Not sure about Wallaby. But I would say Google would cover the fee the same way they offer the rest of its products for free.

I was asking about Google and Wallaby. Data is worth a lot, but can't possibly be worth 2%+ per transaction...

Chase (13)
Chase Consumer (8 ):
Sapphire Preferred Visa
Sapphire Preferred Mastercard

Converted SV to MC and reapplied for SV, in the fight of my life with recon right now... 2 reps told me they understood my reasoning for wanting both (separate spending, WMC coverage abroad, Visa dollar stores, etc) but that it's impossible to have both at same time. How can so many reps not know what is and isn't possible??

So just close the MC, who cares?

Wouldn't that expose me as just wanting the points?

In other words: Wouldn't they just come back with: If you want Visa over MC, we can convert your MC back to Visa?

Annual 7%?

I'm not saying it isn't worth it to close the MC and get the 40k all over again, but the 7% are worth something, esp. if there was other spend on the card.

You'd think, but I've done just that for several people.

Nice! 10 Chase is not easy.

Dan apparently has 13 active Chase now, but he's probably more the exception than the rule...

I have 10 Chase as well.

check with Dan first, but I think million mile secrets has a link. Link many of the new citi offers, you need some staggered spend to get the full bonus.
