Amex F/R Master Thread

I got two new biz cards (plat and gold).
Have had personal for a while.

I need to do 20k to get the 150k bonus.
And 10k to get the 75k bonus.

All has to be done over 90 days.

What is the smartest way to avoid an FR.

It will all be from normal spending, but how should I devide it up, and pay it up?

Do it in smaller amounts and stretched out somewhat evenly over the 90 days (don't rush the spending). Don't do anything out of the ordinary like a sudden spend spike.

So I should do 6,500 per month on plat
And 3,300 per month on gold.

All should be good technically?

No not necessarily there still a risk. But that's the best chance at avoiding it.
Also try to space out that 6.5k a month, maybe a week in between, pay off partly as you go.

Amex declined a few small charges on my new Hilton card. I did a lot of spending on the biz platinum. Does that indicate  the beginning of an F/R ?

Putpac. The automated system will reroute you to FR department automatically if they want to speak with you. They gave me an anxiety attack a couple days ago by sending me to the FR DEPARTMENT because of what turned out to be a 99 cent returned payment

You were right. It was just a mini F/R. They were just concerned about large charges on the card. Now I'll have to cut down on the Amex spending.

Yep mini FR's do the trick they get people to stop spending irregularly which is exactly what they want.

The truth is, I don't think it was really a mini F/R. The questions were in regards to confirming all the spend was actually mine. It was just at a random time, on a day where I didn't make any larger charges.

I spent 10k in a month on plat biz. After that my other cards started getting declined.

Nothing. They just wanted to let me know and make sure I paid it

I got a phone call this moning from amex triggered by yesterday's Target fiasco plus I ordered one 2K AGC that went through as a duplicate. I spoke to the security department about my business and we ended off that all is clear. I then logged in online and I see charging is suspened. Is this a mini or full blown FR?

Maybe just a security issue don't panic yet. I know someone this exact same thing happened to yesterday was just that. Call them and try to clear it up.

If i close my Amex Platinum Biz because of FR will i be able to get new Platinum Biz or Personal?

If you're closing it before they do shouldn't be an issue, if they close it you're in trouble
