Well if he says 500K and they want proof and it only shows 50K.
I thought "come tax time" meant the IRS.

Trying to get the Chase Sapphire. Got the Freedom and the BA Visa in the last 2 months.
Recon said I'm aggressively applying for new credit. They don't want to move credit or close other accounts because they're new.
I called 8-9 times already. One of them actually agreed to move credit, but I didn't know that there was a 5K minimum on the non preferred too. So I said I'll pay my balances and call back. But they said it's not in the notes, so they won't do it.

Any ideas?

Actually, I just remembered that some people reporting success with it, so I just finished writing them.
Hope it works. They already reconsidered it twice. So on the phone, they won't even reconsider.

Have you ever had success with SM?

Everything is hard lately with Chase. It's interesting how they became the bad guys and barclays the good guys. I used to love 'em.

Barclay have loosened a little lately, but I wouldn't call them 'The good guy' just yet.
Not to mention their offers aren't as valuable.

there was a 5K minimum on the non preferred too.
BTW, this is not necessarily true.

What do you mean by that? Where have you heard otherwise?

My SP has a $4500 CL (lowered when I recon'ed for the Marriott card). The rep said she thought I might lose some benefits, which I said was fine (as I would have been willing to downgrade to non-preferred anyways), but AFAIK the benefits haven't changed.

Can you get approved for that CL ? Or only once you have that card you could lower it

You can't get approved for that. But you can lower it to that. I know someone with a CSP with a $500 CL.

Any logical explanation for that ?

Any Visa signature is like that. Many premium card have minimum CLs for opening the card. That way, only someone 'worthy' of it, will get approved.
After you have it, I guess they don't care.

You might get mixed responses.. But if you've already been A/A'ed play it safe and lower the CL

Was it 2 separate A/A's  or they closed your wife's accounts because of your A/A ?
