Besides if he can save $40+ dollars by parking 3 doors down (or even more by buying a groupon), that info is more helpful.

He already said he would go with Groupon. To me it seems he was clearly asking the hotel rate (to compare to the groupon savings) and I was pointing out that it was greater than what you said.

Of course for $60 though you get in and out privileges so at 3x per day it would become break-even..

$60 per day is tons of dough for parking, but for in n out privileges ,that would make more sense than the groupon. I don't think i'm gonna wanna drive much around the city though.

Unless you plan on leaving and returning 3x per day then the Groupon is the better deal.

Does the Hyatt 48th Lex provide kosher breakfast for Diamonds? What are the chances of a decent upgrade? Debating if worth the extra points for the Andaz 5th or not.

I feel like a broken record, but if you can get upgraded to the Splash Suite, it's worth the extra points.

Has anyone check their Hyatt account lately? I had a Diamond trial which was due to expire mid February 2013 with the 4 suite upgrades exp 2/28/13. Just check my account today, still says I am diamond and has 4 new suite upgrade expiring 2/28/14. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes. I was told this would happened when I questioned why the suite upgrades given to me at the start of my trial were set to expire in a couple of weeks. Apparently, this happens to all Diamond members on March 1st every year.

Others have reported this as well. I note that my trial started at the beginning of February, and the site says my status expires April 30 (which is more than 60 days, but is also the last day of the month in which the 60th day falls).
