One rabbi said he didn’t want to scare anyone. Not that he didn’t believe me. Another said people know what to do for themselves. (But never mind the 10 people coughing). Another said it was no big deal. So that’s the only one that didn’t agree even if I may have been able to prove him wrong.
They all deserve blame. They are all leaders and should behave as such.
+1!! What seems so clear and obvious to us is looked upon as our being hysterical, extreme and not having bitachon in Hashem. People only wake up (a bit) when it gets close to home, but by then it is too late. How can we get our people to believe the message, to see what is about to happen (ch'vsh), that this is only a glimpse into the nightmare. I, too, am disillusioned by hatzoloh and chaverim. Great at-the-moment calls, but not good enough foresight of the larger picture. I was also told, they "did what they could" a week and a half ago. Huh?!
Shame, shame. It is already very late in the game, but it is not over yet.
Hatzoloh and Chaverim, WAKE UP. ACT NOW instead of later. Correct your mistakes and please take charge. Get the message to the people to STAY HOME. Grocery stores are still full. Minyanim and simchas are still going on. Neighborhood children are still playing with each other. Quarantined families are still bringing in cleaning help.
You can save our cities. PLEASE HELP. You have connections to the rabbeim, to the people and to the officials. We need media, cars with speakers, huge signs in major intersections, signs on every store, leaflets in every mailbox, full page ads, video monitors in markets showing the pleaing clips from the Italians. Please help PROTECT US.
