Have 150,000 starwood points, what is the best way to use these for tickets to Israel?

I know we get SPG Gold when we spend $30k on this card in a calendar year. Abut when is the Gold status given? The statement after $30k spent? End of calendar year? Card anniversary?

IIRC that's only with MR earning cards. Not the co branded ones. But I may be wrong.

a question was asked, I answered. just trying to help.. SPG (30k ie) points will post as follows.. 10k after $0.01 spend (usually a day or two later), 20k after remaining spend has been completed (usually a day or two later)..
the actual spend on the card will post a day or two after the statement closes.

The new offer is different, the full amount of the points will post after the spend is completed.

This doesn't only relate to this Amex card, but couldn't find a general Amex thread – Does Amex have a price rewind benefit similar to Citi Price Rewind (i.e. if I find an item that I bought on the card for cheaper from another merchant, they refund the difference)?

Not combine it, but you can transfer it over for free.

Talking about merging accounts with diff names in order to have a higher amount of stays. Not transferring the points. It was once mentioned. Not sure if/how it can be done

Does anyone know what SPG points go for via the grey market? I hate selling points/miles but I'm so frustrated with Starwood. I want to use SPG points in Orlando at the Sheraton Vistana Villas for winter break for a 2 bedroom villa. It's a category 4 hotel but the 10k rate only applies to the 1 bedroom and the 2 bedroom would be over 20k a night. The crazy thing is that the 2 bedroom is only $12 more a night. I tried offering to just pay the difference but I can't seem to do it.

Depends on the amount. from 1.7 and up.
