IMHO I think everyone thinks they are plain old orthodox. Not yeshivish, ultra, or modern. But who's to judge? I'm sure there are plenty of what you would consider Modox people who are better off in heaven then some people you would consider ultra orthodox, namely people who are who they are because of peer pressure (oh and you'd be surprised how many of those there are!). I can conjure are list of people I know that follow every letter of the law and are serving God because they love him so much and you would consider them Modox, and I can list people who just walk around like sheep, blindly following everyone else and you would consider them orthodox. But I'm not to judge, k'ish echad b'lev echad, everyone has thier way and you love them all. So lets keep this topic to people who blatantly disregarded Torah ways
