relief, does not demand return of some monies to consumer but money to the state and clearer daily rates which is more then fair to ask for.

I am guessing it'll be a hard fought case on Marriott's part and they'll keep pushing the ball down the road with lawyers and big money untill they are forced into displaying the full and actual cost, similar to airline tickets.

A second outcome can be some major negative press and more states signing up to this suit which will force them into some sort of agreement early on.

But cant wait for the day AirBnb and Hotels will display actual full cost just like airline tickets.

Nope. That stuff doesn't work with the government. They don't just go away cuz of money.

Money can pay for many motions for years to come and drag the case long as possible.

Marriott will do some basic calculations just as any buisness being sued would do and might figure that paying lawyers xxx amount for xx amount of years is cheaper then what they would be profiting from Resort fees, so from a business perspective they might be making more money by pushing it on for a few years thru litigation.

Then there is the PR portion which they'll take into consideration......

Hopefully more states will sign up and produce positive results.

They can't know what they are making from charging resort fees on top of list prices, because maybe someone would stay even if they originally were quoted a price including the resort fee.
I'm sure that if they are forced to stop with these fees, they will just raise their prices. (And probably devalue their rewards program too, as that seems to be another way to rip people off without them realizing)

Nope again.

One of the main aspects of the lawsuit is disgorgement of the fees collected by Marriott. Postponing does nothing except delay the inevitable, all while paying counsel to run up bills. Zero chance Marriott doesn't try to settle this.

And I’m waiting for America to become a normal country and start displaying full real prices on everything like it is in (most) the rest of the world. Yes including taxes, tips, gratuity and any other name anyone can come up with to tell you that you’re actually paying double what you thought you were paying.
