Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Not the best forum for this, but I have a question:
DW and I are in F on a BA flight and would like to bring our 2 year old with us. F is completely sold out. We are willing to have one adult sit in Y. What options do we have to take him along without paying $10k.
book the kid a seat in y and have an adult switch seats with him

Is that possible since kid is 2? Don't you need to have adult ticketed in same class?

as Dan said before and I've done this as well just put his birthday to be old enough. The birthday is not printed on the ticket.

And to confirm - you've done this for INTL? And this won't cause an issue when the API entered says he's 2/at the airport and not ticketed in same class as adult?

ive done it for domestic. But again the ticket doesn't say the age. So when they check the passport all they are looking for to match is the name. Again if Dan can chime in it would be helpful. But you can always call up and say I made a mistake when entering the year and it is really year x. And they will change it if you are worried just tell them you are on the same flight flying together.

But they aren't in the same class. We'd be ticketed in F and he'd be in Y. That's against the rules - he'd need t sit w an adult. Do they really not heck the age on the passport?

again they can check the age on the passport but they don't know what date you entered when you booked the ticket. And they don't check seating assignments until you get to the plane. Once you get there you can see if they will let you put the kid on your lap. If not send your wife to Y and stay with your kid in F

Why is HKG -JFK on CX J 105k BA but HKG-BOS is 150k? It's a shorter flight!

Another option to my dilemna above:

My son turns 2 in 2 weeks and our flight to europe is in 3. BA's policy is if the child turns 2 mid journey he gets a seat at the infant fare. Can I book a trip with a stopover before he turns 2 (e.g., CLE-NYC/ NYC-LHR-NYC) and join my son on all legs to take advantage of this???

Dunno about J/F, but ime I've seen them release Y ~2-3 weeks out.

On other routes they're much easier with availability.
