The unknown pneumonia in Kazakhstan caused 1,772 deaths in the first six months of the year, including 628 people in June alone, including Chinese citizens, the embassy said in a statement on its WeChat platform on Thursday, citing Kazakh media reports. The fatality rate of the disease is much higher than COVID-19, and organizations including Kazakhstan's health department are studying the "virus of this pneumonia," the embassy quoted media.
Not to fearmonger, but any chance this is a mutation?
It's Kazakhstan. You'll know before they do.
Quotes in a signature is annoying, as it comes across as an independent post.

If you were one of the ones who had "mystery pneumonia" March-May: get your lungs checked - I now have lung damage.I was posting a bit on here trying to find answers about my mystery pneumonia case since early May. I did get some responses about people dealing with the same thing and also prescribed zpacks. My doctor really says pneumonia should have been gone by now since I've been on a zpack for maybe about 5 weeks or so now. I recently got a chest xray which showed that I had "bad pneumonia" of some sort and have scarring and thickening in my lungs. I had severe flu symptoms all May and June and now in July I'm dealing with moderate to bad breathing problems, chest and lung pain, still a severe headache that pops up randomly sometimes, fatigue, bad shortness of breath. It's not pneumonia.I don't know where to go from here. I had 2 negative mouth swabs and 1 negative nose swab. Going for the antibody blood draw tomorrow. My doc put me on NAC a few days ago which supposedly helps with breaking up any blood clots so I feel a bit safer now taking it, hopefully. 600mg in the AM and PM. He has me on a BUNCH of supplements/meds that are COVID related but he won't say that its COVID since I didn't get a positive test. I'm calling a doctor in NY tomorrow for telemedicine because honestly I think Florida doctors are pretty bad. I've so far dropped $1k out of pocket to figure out whats wrong with me between doctor visits, chest Xray, meds, blood work :/This is stupid and why people are being marked as pneumonia deaths.
