For those who want to churn and/or want to get the bonus without paying the annual fee: Wait until the A/F gets charged, pay it off with the rest of the bill, and the sign-up bonus will post (at the end of that billing cycle). Then call to close the account and ask to be refunded. They can't charge an A/F for a card you aren't using. You will not lose the miles once they are in your US Airways account.

It seems that if after you use the card you just let it sit unused for a couple months, they will then email you with a targeted offer for 15,000 more points for spending $750 a month for three months.

I received my annual 10k bonus beginning of feb. my annual fee is due now, will they pull back the 10k if i cancel?

IMO before selling get it to 40k if you have the card and that allows for 2 RT flights in the US which can up the value, but I'm not a broker so I don't know for sure.

Approval. If you have had a card with them previously for some time, they may give you two. Though there have been some accounts of people getting two right away. Though most people get the "we need to see how you use one card first..." when applying for two.

If the transition is anything like United/Continental then yes, absolutely.

Any idea why the sign up bonus wouldn't post at the same time as the everyday purchase points on a new card?  In the past they've posted same day, but didn't on the new 40k link.  Would like to book an award before Mar 31...

I'm still waiting for the email to come, have had the card since mid-December, which is not even 3 months so I guess thats normal.

I have 1 card with them that I don't really use for about 6 month now.Would that help or they normally want longer & more activity?
