There was a site/trip report linked here years ago about an absolutely insane overlanding trip in Africa. Crazy long TR IIRC.

Site was more of a blog than a well-known travel site or forum. Link is neither here nor here.

Anyone remember?

Searching didn't work for me, as its most likely just a link.

As unreal it was basically a couple who set off to overland across West Africa and drive a route between countries that nobody's done before. They had a Land Cruiser and a mountain of canned food, and no winch (which I fever became pretty important as the story went on). They got stuck a million times, arrested by corrupt officials, mistakenly started a riot, and who knows what else.

This is all from vague memory though, so who knows.

For all I know I was the one who posted that link even.
