Dewine is very popular among Democrats because of his handling of coronavirus especially in the beginning with basically giving over control to the health secretary I forgot her name. (He was also an incumbent)

That's my point. This isn't about abortion. This is MAGA failing to resonate among Independents.
Vance only won thanks to insane spending to defend a red state. Other MAGA house candidates didn't win where they should have.

I'll point out that Vance's margin was higher than DeWine's 2018 (when he wasn't an incumbent with a record of doing a good job running the state) margin.

My (untested) theory is that MAGA candidates don't do well when all they talk about is Trump. I consider talking about the 2020 results as talking about Trunp.

Zeldin is a good example of this. By every definition he is a MAGA guy, but he ran on what mattered to people in NY, and massively over performed.

2018 was a blue wave year. Just look at OH Senate.
I doubt Brown keeps that seat in 2024, but probably depends on the presidential candidates.
