How so ?
I have always been against any one party controlling everything. You need someone to put the brakes on.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

In these hyper politicized days that's equivalent to legislation never passing, and nothing getting done. Even for the most common sense things.

I don't accept that. We need candidates that are true to their party but also understand you need to compromise.

The I's have shown again they have power. They would throw massive support behind a centrist.

The people have spoken
...and I have heard them loud and clear. Democracy "trumps" economy.  :)
Now the question is, did the politicians and especially the R's hear them?

It would be a disaster if they control everything.

Will the R's finally wakeup and understand their message is falling on deaf ears?

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Blessing in disguise? Party needed a wakeup call.
Will they wake up? The move now is to a mini-Trump. Doesn't seem they are waking up.

This is like a nightmare for the R's that just keeps getting worse!!!

Just putting it out there... as someone who tends to consider himself a Republican, I think the best thing for the party is if Dems maintain control of the Senate after this election.

It's almost certain that Rs will take over the house, which gives them investigation power and the ability to stop any of Biden's laws. Why do they need both houses, which can complicate things for the next election? The chances of them needed the Senate to stop a court pick seems minimal at this point.

If you are a Republican and can only have 1, which would you pick? House or Senate?

I would've picked senate the first term, to stop the judges. But now that the damage is mostly done, I think it's better to have the house.

Especially if the filibuster can stay intact

Has there been a single race in 2020 or 2022 that took days to count and ended up turning in favor of Republicans?
