Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

Any suggestions of anything special to do or happening over Pesach in Cleveland(other than sharing a moment listening to the famous tales from cashiers of the mysterious chabad guy they call Dan while checking out at CVS)?

We're 4+ families with young kids from 2-13 + grandparents. We're also looking for night activities for the parents (20's and 30's). In the past we've done the aquarium, children's museum, the annual indoor fair, local shopping etc. but we're hoping to plan a little better this year though.

Whirly ball is great for older kids and/or adults.

NFL hall of fame?
Indoor water park?
If you go to the IX center amusement park there are nice discounts on the Jewish community day.

Comedy show on east 4th and the casino makes for a nice night for adults.

Updated wiki.
It's not very organized, but it's a start :)

Now, time to do that with other cities!

What happened to the cafe in Menorah Park?
Is it closed, or in the Wiki?
Was an underrated spot, btw the cheap prices, airy atrium, small animal room, and chessed potential.

Each day they have a different special which can run out quickly.
It's cafeteria style, so no tip needed.
The food is basic, but is very cheap, possibly to encourage ppl to visit their family in the nursing home.
(Plz note that my experience is over 3 yrs old.)

Going to have to try a Kosher pizza and see how it compares.

For pizza I go to Kinneret. I go to Issi's for their Fettucini Alfredo (not the greatest, but better than nothing) - was never such a fan of their pizza.

Is their falafel pizza better than Kinneret's pizza?

Going to have to try a Kosher pizza and see how it compares.

Make sure to at least get a recommendation for a good kosher pizza shop first. Would be a shame to blow your kosher experience on subpar pizza.
