I assumed the timing wasn't intentional but was in response to the scheduled program that was only announced late yesterday, as the Rabbonim themselves mentioned in their letter.

It's a Federation event. If there was a "rabbi" speaking, chances are Agudah would have had a bigger issue than they do now.

I guess the answer is that it's a political rally, not a religious one. If anything I'm more comfortable going with the current lineup then with what it could have been.
As mentioned, most people here are not going for the actual speeches

As folks stated above the omission of Rabbinical leaders on the lineup was intentional as it would have caused division, not unity. It’s unfortunate but it seemed the right move. 🇮🇱
