His reaction was perfectly normal. He just said that Cook's personal choices are none of his concern, but whether such a pairing constitutes a 'marriage' is. That doesn't make him the 'boastful homophobe' that the piece claims he is.

perhaps the principal is male. Also, the female teachers want to keep a positive relationship with the students, so this way an 'outsider' can reinforce uniform/dress code without jeopardizing the warmth of the in-class learning experience.

That's exactly the problem. If the teachers aren't talking to the girls about modesty and tznius in a way that still promotes love and warmth etc there in itself is the problem.

In ordinary circumstances yes but when the situation gets out of hand the teachers want to focus on teaching rather than enforcing.

That is NOT the time to teach about the beauty of tznius. No one said it was. There is still a way to say things And ways to do things and how to act.
