I was running to close to Shabbos to book Friday afternoon and now the BA call center is closed. I saw one post saying that if you find a date which has no BA availability then they pull up partners and then you can change the dates. Is this true? Can someone explain how this is done or refer me to the proper post?

That's no longer true. Partners show up since BA's last update of their award engine.

I imagine you are reffering to this http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/26854 however as it says in the 4th paragraph "You do still need to call to book awards on partner airlines like Alaska and Aer Lingus.  Their flights have no fuel surcharges." I am wondering if there is any workaround for Aer Lingus?

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but to book Aer Lingus you have to call AFAIK.

For example, searching DPS - HKG, only CX was shown. To see Malaysia, I had to search each leg sep.

I appreciate you sharing information, and understand you dont wanna be taken advantage of. However, it does not allow you to book Aer Lingus on BA.com so how should it tell me how many miles it is.
