How to beat Alternate Side/street cleaning ticket in NY?

Did you search by ticket number or by plate? If by plate then look under a different area called ticket status use # there you may see its under different plate

I just searched that way too it says "Plate number **** is not listed because it has no outstanding debt"
And then 2 other tickets come up of the a different plate number for other offences or other addresses and other times.

Seems you're  off the hook.  Just monitor it for a bit more

My ASP ticket doesn't bring up anything online.
It says no out standing debt.

I called We Fight Tickets, and they say they saw somebody fought the ticket and it was dismissed!

I seem to have also gotten a school zone speeding camera ticket during my adventures in NY. I was hoping it would have been on the way to the hospital, but it wasn't.

Here's my response. I give it a 5% chance.
This ticket should be dismissed because there is insufficient evidence supporting conviction.

The statute states: " (b) If the city  of  New  York  establishes  a  demonstration  program pursuant  to  subdivision  (a)  of  this section, the owner of a vehicle shall be liable for a penalty imposed pursuant to this section  if  such vehicle  was  used or operated with the permission of the owner, express or implied, within a school speed zone..." Section 1180-b(b). 

The pictures taken by the camera do not evidence who was driving my car, nor that it was being used with either my express or implied permission.  Thus, the elements required for conviction are not proven, or indeed even alleged.

Second, and in the alternative, there is not even an allegation that this incident was within " one thousand  three  hundred  twenty  feet  on  a  highway  passing a school building, entrance or exit of a school abutting on the highway," as required by the statute in the definition of "school speed zone."  Thus a second element required for conviction is not proven or even alleged.

For the above two reasons, I respectfully request dismissal.

The respondent has been charged with violating Section 1180-b of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, by failing to comply with the maximum
speed limits in a school speed zone. Respondent claims that the violation must be dismissed because the camera does not show who
was operating the vehicle, or that the operator was driving with the owner’s permission. This is not a persuasive defense, as the violation is issued to the registrant when the radar device monitoring vehicles passing the location registers the vehicle traveling in
excess of the posted speed limit. Respondent has not presented persuasive evidence that the vehicle was being operated without his
express or implied consent, such as a report of larceny or other convincing evidence. His further argument is not persuasive, as the
zone is regulated by posted signs. A review of NYC school speed zone locations indicates that the location where the violation was
observed is a school speed zone. There is no requirement that the definition of a speed zone be alleged. Respondent has not
presented persuasive evidence to contradict the information contained in the Notice of Liability. The school speed zone violation is
upheld, as the Notice indicates that the vehicle was traveling 37 miles per hour in a posted 25 mile an hour speed zone when cited.

You guys are aware that you can go to nycserv.nyc.gov and select "Check Parking ticket status" from the first pull down menu? It doesn't show the excuse given but you get an email if you submitted the hearing online and the email has the written excuse in it...

If you wanna be sneaky you can try to email correspondence@finance.nyc.gov and say you didn't receive copy of hearing submitted (or you can say you are unsure if the hearing submitted was correct info) and request copy of submitted hearing. Please let me know what happens if you try. Curious

What he was saying is that if submitted online then in the email received it will say what the argument was. He missed the point the OP wanted, that is to find out what was the argument submitted by the counsel he hired to fight his someone's. I also see that when I get a co to fight my ticket 10 min after calling it has "hearing request"  and it takes very long to be settled as opposed to when i try on my own.

Correct, not sure what I missed though. Said there's no way of seeing excuse online. If you submit yourself you get an email. If not, you can try to email the DOF but if you hired a company to fight it, they usually don't submit a hearing - most have a back door with a judge or something.
