boa world points
« on: August 06, 2012, 01:19:28 AM »
I have a boa platinum plus for several yrs. My current Total Points are 48,331 WorldPoints. I was planning on waiting till I have 50k to redeem for $500.

Any better ideas?

Don't know, but where does that get you to?

For example : You can redeem 50,000 points for two roundtrip tickets to anywhere in the US or Canada. Or a one way to Europe or Tel Aviv.

similar to how chase UR transfers 1:1 to 3 different airlines and Amex transfers 1:1 to 5-10 and spg 1:1.25 to 15 airlines
BoA transfers 1:1 to Air Canada (yours or anyone else's)

Apparently, 50k to redeem for $500.
I guess I confused with the lower redemptions. I stand corrected on that. but, Air Canada points are still more valuable

What I wrote I meant using aeroplan. That is by far your best value.

I used to have BOA World Points and the best redemption is definitely Aeroplan, not  cashing  it out for $500.

50,000
It's mile for mile. Right now you could use your 48,000 to get 48,000 Aeroplan.

Define worth?

If by worth you mean redemption value, could be worth upwards of 10 cents per point with the right premium awards, if you mean what brokers are paying, probably around 1.3-1.6.

So technically, if i redeem my 50k wp for aeroplan miles and want to sell them, it would be the same as redeeming it for $500?

Approx how much more?

Is it worth the hassle or should I just take the $ from the bank?
