You could leave it in the phone, as if you dont activate the phone then that SIM is worthless.
They wont be able to use it, as it is tied to your account.

I have a stack of ATT and Sprint SIM cards in my house.... (like 50+

He will not activate the phone, but the guy he is selling it to might! It is just a matter of clicking Next a couple of times on the iphone when his buyer first receives it...

Not if the Phone is detached from the Sprint account. The you are unable to activate it by just clicking next.... and the SIM wont work in a different phone

that's how they link the phone with the account/sim

Call Sprint. If the phones is linked to your account then the person who purchased it will not be able to activate it onto their account until it is detached...

(I have gotten Sprint reps to detach other peoples phones to activate onto my account)

I went to a Verizon store to use my upgrades... They guy said that if they aren't active on the account for 7 months then Verizon will charge the store the full price for the phone, and then the store will charge me....

Basically if anyone wants to buy a phone for resale, it has to be ordered online
