So i'm thinking of going away somewhere in July or August leaving from TLV for around 5-6 days.  The only thing is I have absolutely no idea where to go..either Asia/South Pacific ie. pvg,hkg,sin,bkk....or Europe ie. cdg, lhr, ams,mad...(not much of a traveler).  If anyone can help me out plan a trip I would really appreciate it...hate being asked to be "spoon fed" but I dont really know much about destinations. (And please dont tell me to read every thread on every destination...I will read the appropriate ones when I get an itinerary  :P)

-Going with a 2 year old and a 4 month old...So that probably knocks out a few child unfriendly destinations.
-No into water sports
-Would like to travel in Biz where ever I go (unless biz is not so worth it from TLV to places in Europe/Asia?)
-Venice, Rome, Milan, and Florence is out.
-Would consider staying over Shabbos in a place.
-Nice weather of course

Have UR and United pointss and have some nights at Hyatt and Hilton and can get MR.

TIA!

You have to let us know what you want to see. I assume there is a Mrs. Also? Do you want just nice beaches? Restaurants? Museums? Culture? Hikes? Shows? Scenery Etc...

Hi maybe someone can help me. Looking to get away from NY with the wife for a warm sunny weekend somewhere. Leave Thursday return Monday night. I'd like a really nice hotel (SPG always preferred but not a must) and something close to a shul for shabbos. Don't need any major activities just sun, pool, beach etc. Last year we took the easy way out and stayed at the St. Regis Bal Harbor, I can always do a repeat but wouldn't mind a change. Ideas?

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like we're gonna go the easy route again and do Florida for a weekend. Thinking about Turnberry Isle or the Acqualina. I've heard great things about the Acqualina (besides the prices which aren't that great!) but saw that it's a 5 minute walk from Sunny Isles Chabad which is a big plus on shabbos. I've been to Turnberry a few times and loved it, although never for shabbos. Does anyone know of a shul not too far of a walk? It seems from searching around that everything is at least 18-20 minutes away on foot, I was hoping for something closer.

I've been fantasizing about going here for a long time:

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland

Anyone ever been there?

I've heard bad things about the antisemitism in Switzerland and that's been putting me off...

I plan on doing YVR in the summer. JFK is my home airport. So not sure to do on the way back 37.5k BA or maybe 62.5k AA to LHR with SO in JFK, since I'm planning to go Europe in the winter. But its only worth it for new 77W and availability looks close to done right now.

I'm not booking yet, but the question is will 77W in F open later on OR maybe just book 55K in J OR just with BA instead.

Decisions,Decisions,Decisions

ETA: Just checked AA and it looks like AA is showing availability on their new 777-300 in F

I'll IYH be in Paris in June.  I am looking for somewhere I can go from a Monday to Thursday. Preferably somewhere quiet/chilled and perhaps by the beach.

I was thinking of either Provence or perhaps Tuscany. Not sure which is easier to get to and find lodging.

Any tips or other ideas?
